“I knew I wanted to work with a baby nurse at night because I knew how hard those first few weeks could be. I was so lucky to work with Laura who is incredible! A registered NICU/PICU nurse by background, Laura was so seasoned and experienced with an amazing ability to soothe baby! I was exclusively breastfeeding and Laura many times helped me with latching and positioning and also soothed baby while I got a few hours of sleep between feeds. She also gave me a lot of advice about baby sleep, how to calm a fussy/colicky baby, infant massage and so on. And most importantly, when I was stressed about nursing through cluster feeds, Laura was incredibly supportive and helpful.
When I finally was ready to introduce a bottle of pumped milk to baby, I dealt with bottle refusal and Laura got her to drink from a bottle as well!
